I love reading, Christian, Biographies, Autobiographies, Cookbooks, Fiction, Historical Fiction, History, Memoir, Mystery, Romance, Suspense, Thriller, Parenting, Marriage, Christian Counseling, Health, Natural and Herbal, Childcare and Teaching, Inspirational as well as Alaskan.
I prefer a printed copy that I can hold in my hands and become old friends with, but will also accept E-books in Kindle, PDF or Nook formats.
I am a Christian and seek to glorify my Lord. As such I will not read any erotic, paranormal, vampire, or such books. I also will stop reading any book that has bad language (Cursing and taking my Lord’s name in vain.), and books with gratuitous sex. This is one reason I have chosen to be associated with the Publishing Companies and the Authors that are on my site because I feel safe recommending them to others.

I will buy this book. I'm sure I will read it over again. It struck a note with me on many levels, not because of adoption or having a child killed or even the way we face things the same way on a spiritual or daily level. Our personalities are not the same and yet so many parts of this book were just what I needed to explain pieces of me and my history to myself.
So very honest it was scary that she could bare her very heart and soul that way! Wish I could be more like that and not bottle so much up for fear of hurting others with what I think and feel.
Of all the non-fiction books I have read in the last two years, this book by Mary Beth Chapman, grabbed me in a way no other book has done! This is every parent's nightmare multiplied by 1,000's of times. To loose one of your children, but to have it be an accident at the hand of one of you other children with another watching....her story of how their family wrapped around each other to heal. Broke and healed my heart at the same time. I will never be the same. Such honesty she poured out on the pages of the book. Truly amazing!!
